Description

Here's a supernova remnant in Cygnus. MyAstrobin buddy Gary Imm [an amazingly accomplished imager in Texas], posted his version on that site recently. I have been looking for SNRs to shoot as I find them fascinating visually and scientifically. It seems the preponderance of SNRs are in the Southern Hemisphere, so I was pleased to see this one in Cygnus. David has caught this as part of a wide field image of that section of Cygnus; in truth I probably have as well...I need to look! I decided to use the larger Borg to concentrate on the SNR and not so much its surrounding nebulosity. I was amazed that the OIII came through this well for the 600s subs looked pretty bleak. I could see that Ha was strong as is much of Ha in Cygnus, so got away with just an hour on that channel.
